NHL and NFL runs continue!

Filed under: BaseBall Tips,NBA Tips,NCAA Basketball Tips,NFL Tips,NHL Tips,Tips — SportsPicks Staff @ 9:22 am

It’s two in a row for NFL and NHL plays, and we’re back for more this week with another loaded card. Baseball is over for another few months, but we replace MLB with NBA and keep winning this week. Buck the “public wisdom” and get the winning side in what on the surface appears to be a lopsided game in NFL action, and stack cash with an NCAA side that literally has every advantage in a matchup, but somehow is still the dog! (TOP PLAY) We’ve got an Over and an Under for you in NBA and NHL action, and finally, we top it off with a two-team NCAAF parlay! We’re looking forward to a big weekend, and we hope you’ll join us.

Bowling Green is in a bit of an unusual situation this week, and that’s only because they’re coming off a loss to Temple, which doesn’t happen too often. When it does, it forces a team into an unusual zone in the betting world: linesmakers have no choice but to downgrade them in a big way, yet they also enter their next game in prime revenge position. As a result, this week’s line against Akron is set at +9, but to be honest, we think these teams could be on the same level, especially with Bowling Green’s pride on the line after last week’s embarrassment. One can make the case that the Falcons should have actually won the game against Temple. They dominated the line of scrimmage, with 15 more first downs than the Owls (27-12) and greater than 150 yards more offense (407-254), but had a few unlucky bounces, and came out on the wrong end of the scoreboard. Make no mistake – the final score last week did not accurately reflect the abilities of those two teams, just as this week’s resulting line does not reflect the abilities of these two teams, and we’re ready to capitalize. Bowling Green is still only one game out of a playoff spot in the M.A.C. East, and they’ve got a schedule that could very well finish up as a 3-0 run to end the season. The Falcons have something to play for here, which is more than the Akron Zips can say. With three conference losses already, Akron has failed in all of their pre-season goals, and we’re not sure that they’ll be able to find motivation the rest of the way. Coach J.B. Brookhart has already said that red-shirt freshman Carlton Jackson will see action, which implies to us that the team is already looking to the future. Starting P.K. Jon McClain is playing with the varsity soccer team in the M.A.C. tournament this weekend, instead of in the football game, which gives us further proof. Do these indicators suggest a team eager to cover a 9 pt spread against a team with equal talent and added motivation? You be the judge. Bowling Green leads the M.A.C. in rushing and first downs, which tells us that they’re able to hang on to the ball and eat up clock time when they are in a situation of having to preserve a lead. With a short bus ride between these two schools, we’re expecting a large Bowling Green cheering section, which will add even more emotion to the atmosphere. Easy call this week – Play Bowling Green Falcons, ATS.

Another Winning Weekend at TST!

Filed under: Comments,NBA Tips,NCAA Football Tips,NFL Tips,NHL Tips,Tips — SportsPicks Staff @ 3:07 am

It was another weekend of bookie bashing, as the TopSportsTips team got back to doing what we do best – picking winners. Straight wagers went 2-0-1, ensuring our clients went home with slightly fatter wallets than before. This week we follow up that effort with a HUGELY stacked card, including NFL, NCAAF, World Series, and NHL straight wagers, as well as a two-team parlay! You can see our Top Play right here, but to see the full card, you’ve got to be a member of our sponsor, GoSportsBet. It’s free and easy to join!

It’s time for another one of our patented NCAAF sides in a big rivalry game… the only problem is, most of the public is betting on the wrong team! We’re going to play double-digit fave Florida against Georgia, and here’s why. We’ve been very unimpressed by this Bulldog team – in their last five games, they’ve played terribly, and they’ve gone 0-5 ATS, losing to the spread by nearly 90 points combined. Just one of those opponents looks headed to a bowl this season, which spells trouble for the Bulldogs. This week, the Bulldogs will be starting a true freshman at QB (Matt Stafford), and he’s averaging just 104 pass yards per game, and his TD : INT ratio is currently 3 : 7. Florida is limiting opposing rushing to just 2.5 yards per carry, which means Stafford will be forced to throw. Look for Florida defenders to pick up a couple interceptions this weekend against a green QB and a weak rush offense. Florida is coming fresh off a bye week, and even though they had better personnel before the bye, now, they’re rested. Georgia has faced a double-digit deficit 10 times in this series, and they’ve covered in only 3 of them. It’s true, we normally wouldn’t lay this kind of number in a rivalry game. However, this rivalry is going to be one-sided, as the better team with extra rest will come out comfortably on top in this one. Play Florida Gators, ATS

BounceBack Weekend at TopSportsTips

Filed under: BaseBall Tips,NBA Tips,NCAA Football Tips,NFL Tips,NHL Tips,Tips — SportsPicks Staff @ 10:06 am

After a tough weekend, we bounce back strong with a full card, backed by the most detailed, in-depth explanations in the free picks industry. No one can guarantee that every pick will be a winner, but our research and hard work have been consistently profitable over time, and we look forward to continued successes with this approach.

This week, we’ve got a full card, with an NFL side (Top Play), an NCAAF blowout win, an NHL road winner, and finally, a two-team NCAAF parlay. You can see our Top Play right here, but to get the full card, you’ve got to be a GoSportsBet member! Join our sponsor now.

The Carolina Panthers are in a bit of a rare situation here, as they enter this game as 3-pt dogs. The Panthers are 18-3 (85%) in their last 21 games as an underdog, and they’re 4-0 since Steve Smith returned to the lineup. There’s no reason to think another cover won’t come through this weekend. Not only can the Bengals not stop a strong ground attack (which is a hallmark of the Panthers’ game), they also have trouble against the well-coached, bruising teams that include the Carolina Panthers. With Steve Smith back to his typically-devastating form, and with QB Jake Delhomme coming off a career-high 365 yards passing against a stingy Ravens ‘D’, the Bengals could be in trouble. We’re expecting DeShaun Foster to be able to run against the Bengals, who gave up 231 rush yards to the Patriots. Injuries and suspensions have decimated the Bengals at linebacker, and we predict this will show on Sunday. Fiinally, the Bengals have had serious issues protecting Carson Palmer, giving up 17 sacks in five games. Cincinnati is just 3-8 against the spread when laying points at home, and that number goes to 3-9 this weekend. Play the Carolina Panthers, ATS.

MORE Winners in the Big Games!

Filed under: BaseBall Tips,Comments,NBA Tips,NCAA Football Tips,NFL Tips,NHL Tips,Tips — SportsPicks Staff @ 12:21 pm

Last week was another profitable venture, as our Top Play on the New Jersey Devils as moneyline underdogs cashed big at +115. Also, the NFLTopPicks team was spot on in their analysis of the Philadelphia / Dallas game, predicting that the Eagles would make a statement against T.O. and the Cowboys. Our parlay was a push, bringing our three-week record to 2-0-1.

We’ve got another Bookie Basher card this weekend, with four straight wagers (including an MLB Playoff Winner!) and a two-team parlay. Make a little extra money this weekend and add to your bankroll with the most comprehensive free plays on the internet.

TOP PLAY:

This week’s Top Play involves the Michigan Wolverines against the Penn State Nittany Lions. This game is a bargain considering the situation, and you can be sure we jumped at the opportunity to cash. You’ll recall that Penn State’s first defeat of the 2005 season came in Michigan to these same Wolverines, when Michigan scored a late TD to steal the win. The late score came after officials inexplicably added time to the clock for reasons unknown. This means that Penn State will be ready to put forth the effort of the season so far this Saturday. Our bet is that they’ll stay within the number, and may win the game. Mario Manningham is not here to bail out the Wolverines this time around, and they are simply not as good a team without him. The Wolverines won’t be able to demand instant double coverage the way they did with him on the field, and their attack on Penn State’s secondary will be nowhere near as strong. This Penn State team has had road tests against Notre Dame and Ohio State, held the Buckeyes to 253 yards, and intercepted Troy Smith twice. Michigan is a step down in quality from Ohio State, and QB Anthony Morrielli should get a chance to find comfort against a weaker D. Although we’re tempted to go with the moneyline play here, we’ll take the safe cushion with the spread. Play Penn State, ATS.

Parlay Hits – HUGE NCAA Weekend!

Filed under: BaseBall Tips,Comments,NCAA Football Tips,NFL Tips,Tips — SportsPicks Staff @ 12:33 pm

Last week’s four NCAA picks went a combined 3-1, but luckily for you, two of them were parlayed together, resulting in HUGE profits for our players! This week we’ve changed our format slightly – ALL the picks are still free, and anyone can see our “Top Play” on this blog, but our full card of winners is reserved for members at GoSportsBet, our sponsor site.

It is free and easy to Join GoSportsBet. You do not need to commit any money, only a valid email address. Once you’ve signed up, you will have access to every free pick, every week, as well as special bonus plays for Members Only during the week.

This week’s Top Play features Louisiana Tech against Clemson. Louisiana Tech are huge dogs against Clemson this week, but at +34, the price is more than right. Although Clemson played a highly-efficient, clean game against North Carolina last weekend, we’ve got a situation here when both the favorite and the underdog would like to shorten the game, get this one over with, and move on to conference match-ups ahead. For Clemson, this is basically a bye week. With Wake Forest up next Saturday, priorities here include getting what should be an easy win, and not getting injured. We’re going to look for Clemson to play some guys who ordinarily might not get a lot of action, and who Tommy Bowden will need in years to come. Young, little-used, inexperienced players, especially on the offensive line, do not make for a whole lot of covers. We’ll take advantage. Also, consider that Louisiana Tech is not your average dog in this situation. It’s true, Nebraska and Texas A&M each covered against LA Tech, but they were trying to put up big scores because of pressures on their coaches. Clemson has absolutely zero motivation here. Look for Louisiana Tech to put forth a solid effort for four quarters, and in a game where both teams want to shorten the clock, that factor will make the difference. Play Louisiana Tech, ATS.

The majority of the betting public thought Notre Dame would remain undefeated last weekend, but our players knew better! Michigan cashed all tickets, and our players emerged with fatter wallets because of it.

This week we’ve got two more hot NCAA plays, an NFL side, an undervalued MLB fave, and the weekly parlay!
