Two weeks ago our NFL play with the Redskins as underdogs resulted in an upset win
against the home favorite Saints. The NFLTopPicks team is now 8-2-1 in the last ten weeks. As our TopPicks team has just come back from Christmas holidays, we have two big picks this weekend on the NBA and NFL.

As usual, anyone can get our Top Play – Friday’s NBA, but to get this Sunday’s NFL winner you must be a member of our sponsor, GoSportsBet. It’s free to join and no deposit is required! Get the Top Free Picks on the internet by going to http://www.gosportsbet.com/free_picks/.

The Washington Wizards finished November with a 5-9 record, while the Orlando Magic led the Southeast Division at 12-4. The month of December has been a turnaround for both teams, though, as the Magic are 5-9 while the Wizards have gone 11-3 to move percentage points ahead of Orlando for the division lead. These two teams have been heading in completely different directions.

The biggest reason for the Washington’s run has been the outstanding performance of Gilbert Arenas, who has scored 30 or more points in five of the past six games. Arenas is averaging 38.5 points and has made 19-of-35 from 3-point range (54.3%) during the Wizards’ four-game win streak. That stretch doesn’t even include his franchise-record 60-point effort in a win over the Lakers on Dec. 17.

The Wizards are averaging 118.5 points in their last 12, and are the third-highest scoring team in the league (107.8 PPG) behind Phoenix and Denver. Washington has won six of seven at the Verizon Center, and is 9-2 at home when scoring at least 100 points.

The Magic have lost three straight road games, averaging just 84 points. Orlando fell to the Lakers on Wednesday for its third straight loss and eighth in 11 games. Dwight Howard’s slump is the main factor for the Magic’s draught. He is averaging 13.1 points on 45.7 percent shooting in his last eight games. Howard averaged 18.1 points on 61% shooting in his first 22 games.

We’re predicting a blowout for the Wizards who will be hyped in revenge mode for the loss to Orland earlier this season.
Play Washington Wizards, ATS

We admit the New Orleans Saints are good and their resurgence is the sports story of the year. They are winning and winning big. We believe this is another case of a team just getting too much hype. There has to be a letdown at some point and we think this weekend against the Washington Redskins will be the time they falter.

Support for the Saints has never been higher following last Sunday’s huge win over the Cowboys and all this talk of Sean Payton for coach of the year and Drew Brees for MVP means the public will be all over them. But they still have one of the worst run defenses in NFL (ranked 24th). The run-stuffer Hollis Thomas’s suspension is the key issue for their defense. Redskins running back Ladell Betts has been pretty good lately, averaging 143 yards rushing during the last three games.

Joe Gibbs will give the ball to Betts all day and let him grind this game out.
Although the Saints’ pass defense is ranked 5th, there is a good possibility that Jason Campbell will have another big game coming back to SEC-land. New Orleans is 1-3 ATS when they are favored at home this season.

Play Washington Redskins, ATS.

In NBA action, it’s a very simple play here on Friday night as we’re exploiting the red-hot Chicago Bulls over a poor defensive Toronto Raptors team.

The Bulls are looking to extend both their overall winning streak, as well as their long history of dominance against the Raptors. Chicago has won both ATS and SU in their last 13 meetings against Toronto since 2002. The Bulls have really dominated the series over the past two seasons, winning the seven meetings by an average of 12.2 points while outrebounding the Raptors by an 11.9 average. The addition of Big Ben Wallace will only help in that department. Chicago has been showing the same efficiency during its current six- game win streak, defeating opponents by an average of 15.7 points. They also have a 138-104 rebounding edge over the past three games.

We expect a comfortable, double-digit victory for the Bulls.
Play Chicago Bulls, ATS.
